...Like a pizza? Well last night it was “pizza craving” night and if I can’t indulge on one of those Italian thin crust brushed with tomato sauce and sprinkled with fresh basil, then I want Little Star Pizza.
I have only been to there location on Valencia street because it’s conveniently close to one of my favorite place for a pint: Zeitgeist.
Though it was the end of the rush when we arrived around 9:30 pm, we still decided to seat at the bar. If you want to eat earlier you better bring your book because this place is popular and the line is big from 7 to 9, between 30 to 45 minutes wait! No reservation possible. If you don’t mind eating later, like me, then it won’t be a problem for you to get a table. I never waited more than 10 minutes.
The bar is the other way to go if you are a couple or even better, you can call in your order and pick up your pie, no wait there!
As always, at this place, the food is good, the ingredients fresh and good quality.
I ordered a Mixed green salad, and then a large 1/2 classic - 1/2 Mediterranean chicken. It was as usual: Great! The dough is phenomenal, their tomato sauce fresh and filled with nice chunky pieces of tomatoes. The service was impeccable, thanks to the bartender.
Summary: if you want a deep dish pizza that’s the place to go. If you don’t want to wait then pick it up to go. A large pie is about $23, the large salad was $9, a glass of wine or a beer, this is good food!
