Sherman’s vegetable lasagna

This recipe is not vegetarian but can be.
Tonight, I had dinner over at my friends’ house. I loved Sherman recipe for lasagna because it was very easy and very tasty.
He made a meat sauce with sausage and onion cooked in a pan and he added at the last minute some tomato sauce.
In a pot, he boiled the lasagna and drain them.
He had on counter, some fresh basil, sliced mushroom and sliced zucchini, ricotta cheese and mozzarella cheese.
And then it’s just a game of layers, pasta ricotta, zucchini, pasta, mushroom, basil topped with the tomato sauce. In minutes he had layered his lasagna.
He put them in the oven for 15 minutes and that’s it!
This was very simple and delicious. I will definitely re-make this recipe (meat-less) to vegetarian friends, it was not as heavy as the “meat-only” lasagna and the vegetable gave it a twist I really enjoyed.
