I was meeting at the Alliance Française yesterday with the director of cultural programs and development, Stéphanie, to talk about our future collaboration: Les Gastronomes du Dimanche. I will be hosting a cooking class every last Sunday of the month.
Stéphanie told me that the Café next to the Alliance Française was finally re-opened and asked if I wanted to check it out. Of course! To me checking a new restaurant is like asking any other women if she wants to check out the newly re-open Gucci store. So I jump on the occasion and follow her.
The place got a nice new fresh look. I meet with Jean-Luc owner and executive chef and talk shop for a while. He is very motivated and I think he has great ideas for this place. We sit at a table and while going over the last details of Les Gastronomes du Dimanche, the Kitchen staff brings our lunch.
Of course I don’t want to review Moussy’s today, as it will be very unfair, the place is just opening, we were the first customers. They are still working on their menu and final details but I have to say that what I tasted was very promising!
I had the brussels sprout soup, that was very good. I like the texture, rich and creamy.
Then, I had the quiche. It came with a side of salad mixed with paper thin slice of bell peppers, onions and radishes, very fresh. The quiche was really good, filled with vegetables and bacon, that was really nice too.
I can’t wait to see the whole menu!
Summary: Here it is, Chapeau and good luck to Jean Luc. His vision of a French Bistro seems the perfect touch in this location. Go check it out!
